The Golden Globes had a plethora of themes heading into the night, but one stood out above the rest.
#MeToo was on full display by a multitude of not only actresses, but actors dressed in all black, a sign standing up for those who have been effected by sexual harassment allegations over the last several months.
Many speeches and statements were made my the likes of Nicole Kidman and Oprah Winfrey. But the biggest statement came from Natalie Portman, who was on stage to present the nominees for best Director, a list of all men.
A huge activist and voice with all of the allegations going on, Portman made her presence felt with a jab at an all-male nominated award, best director of all things.
“And here are the all-male nominees.”
7 words is all she needed to get her point across.
