Harry Potter will be on full display in London when a full orchestrated viewing of the Philosophers Stone comes to Bud Gardens this January, but that doesn’t mean the magic is restricted here.
A replica of the Hogwarts Express, that is fully functional and runs throughout the Scottish Highlands, picked up a stranded family of six Friday afternoon.
The family knew The Harry Potter franchise was filmed there, they just didn’t put two and two together. “They know the Harry Potter films and they know that are filmed in the Highlands,” he said. “But they hadn’t put all of that together in their heads until they saw the train.”
Jon Cluett, his wife and four children between the ages of 6 and 12 were staying in a lakeside hut on Loch Eilt when they woke up and realized their canoe was no longer there.
So if you want a ride on the Hogwarts Express, all you have to do is get lost in Scotland, sit back and let the magic of the Harry Potter Realm take effect.
