Yesterday on the show, we asked you to share your most expensive mistake stories. The reason? I destroyed my brand new flat screen TV this past Friday night, while playing Nintendo Wii. One thing led to another, and a battery went right through my beloved television set.
Our listeners stepped up to the challenge, and were quick to share their most expensive mistakes. Here are some examples.
Jessica wrote “Weaver- my most expensive mistake was college!!! I was in the first intake of a new pschyologu college degree offered in another city. By the time I graduated 4 years later the government standards had changed and all of us who graduated were left with a useless degree unless we wanted to upgrade by doing another 4 years through university. $40,000 down the drain”.
Sarah Mooney noted her most expensive mistake was “…having moved in with my ex… Waste of 2 years haha. . Or the time i dropped an entire dresser while moving it and it splintered into chunks… Was out about $1000 for that one.”.
Greg Heasman added “I was opening the sliding door on the van and it was not opening all the way, it was stuck so I thought some brute force would help… the door ended up coming off the track in my hands and shattering the back window at the same time… “.
Deryk told us he once “Backed my work truck into my car. Wrote it off “.
Laura Lively told the story of the time “Her son threw a lightsaber through their brand new flat screen. Thankfully, it was Black Friday so there were sales for replacements.”.
