JJ Watt, star defensive end for the NFL’s Houston Texans, started his own Hurricane Harvey relief fund in the aftermath of the destructive storm. With an original goal of raising $200,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, the fund has now raised millions of dollars.
By yesterday afternoon, JJ Watt took to Twitter to announce the fund had raised over $20 million dollars.
Today, thanks to a $5 million dollar donation from Charles Butt of the San Antonio based W-E-B supermarket chain, the fund has now surpassed $27 million dollars.
Incredible! However, there’s still lots of work to do, and lots more funds to be raised. To donate to JJ Watt’s relief fund, click here.
