Boots & Hearts is finally here!
Thursday marks the official start of one of the biggest country music festivals in Canada.
Starting Friday afternoon, Country 104 will broadcast live from Boots & Hearts Music Festival and the lineup looks incredible, with Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert & Luke Bryan set to headline over the 3 main days of the festival.
With so many artists & bands set to take the stage, and with many sets overlapping slightly, you’re going to have to check the schedule to plan out the acts you’d most like to see.
That’s where we can help.
Here’s my list of the 5 bands or artists that you HAVE to see at Boots & Hearts Music Festival.
1) Drake White & The Big Fire.
I’m a huge fan of Drake White. I had the opportunity to meet him last summer, at CMT Music Festival, where his passion for music made an immediate impression. Although he’s currently working on his sophomore album, pick up Drake White’s first major label release, Spark. Front to back, a solid record from a solid artist.
2) Brett Eldredge
Brett Eldredge just released his self titled, 4th full length album. Because of this reason alone, he’s a must see at Boots & Hearts. Plus, if his adorable dog Edgar makes an appearance, then Brett Eldredge is worth the price of your ticket, alone.
3) Jessica Mitchell
Jessica Mitchell is nominated for a Canadian Country Music Association Roots Artist of the Year award for a reason. Whether it’s her show stopping performances at the Country Music Association Awards, or her performances on the road with Keifer Sutherland, or her breathtaking single “Workin’ On Whiskey” on the radio, there’s always time for some Jessica Mitchell in your life.
4) Cold Creek County
Every single time Cold Creek County step on stage, or into a recording studio, they get better & better. Which is why you can’t miss the opportunity to see this rising Canadian country group. Their latest single, Homemade, from their album of the same name, is quickly helping make a name for the group. Don’t be surprised if they win the Canadian Country Music Association award for Group/Duo of the Year, after taking the Group of the Year trophy at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards earlier in 2017. Their time is now.
5) Dan + Shay
Quite frankly, we’re obsessed with the latest album from Dan + Shay, Obsessed. We caught them at London Music Hall last year, and can’t wait to see them perform their high energy show in an outdoor setting. Their harmonies are on point, their energy is infectious, and we can’t wait to sing along with them at Boots & Hearts. Let’s hope they bring along the puppies from their video for “Nothin’ Like You”.
