It can be hard to plan the perfect summer getaway that everyone will enjoy. Do you go for fun, excitement and thrills…or calm, relaxing and quiet?
If you’re looking to save some money on flights and avoid a super-long road trip headache (especially if you have kids), then look no further.
Here are some summer getaway destinations that are no longer than 3 hours from London! We’ll focus on travelling East in this blog, but keep watching over the next week as we’ll cover off all the directions to see what they have to offer!
It doesn’t matter how many times you visit, you’ll always find a dozen NEW fun and exciting things to do! There really is something for every style, taste and comfort. If you’re planning a visit, a great place to start is by getting a Citi Pass Tour, which makes hitting all the landmarks a breeze!
If you want to avoid the crowds, noise and maybe experience Toronto like someone who lives there…then check this out!
How could you visit Toronto without looking at the spectacular CN Tower? It’s like a magnet that draws me in and even as a adult, just the site of fills me with excitment! So far, I haven’t been brave enough to stand on the glass floor or do the Edge Walk…but someday!
Going to a Jays game is just something every kid needs to do and I can’t wait to take my son to see his first game. I’ve never been to an Argos or Toronto FC game, but by the looks of these…I’m missing out!
Toronto is the BEST place for fast rides and COOL slides!
Where else can you see the most exotic animals in the world and have a Great White Shark swim OVER YOUR HEAD!
My family LOVES Niagara Falls so much we keep going back almost every year. There are still so many things I’ve never done like; a ride of the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls and now I REALLY want to go on this awesome jet boat!
You just can’t stop watching the falls, it’s almost hypnotic….powerful yet peaceful! There really is something that everyone can enjoy. My son was so captivated by the dinosaur mini-golf with the fire coming out of the top of a volcano, that he tripped and scraped his knee. There’s wax museums, dozen’s of restaurant’s (our favourite is The Rainforest Cafe), Casino, Hershey factory, Butterfly Conservatory, you won’t be disappointed!
If you want to avoid the noise, massive crowds and chaos of a day in Niagara Falls, then a short drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake would be perfect for you! This has been on my bucket list for years and I’m still not sure why we haven’t been there. Perfect for a romantic weekend away without the kids (maybe that explains it), you’ll enjoy the beauty, serenity…and the WINE!
