I’ve done it. I’ve held a snake in Nicaragua, tried to pet a wild iquana in Mexico, been arms length away from a deer in my own neighbouhood. When we see wildlife, we’re drawn to it. This past weekend, an endangered baby dolphin died after beachgoers in Argentina pulled the poor animal out of the water and passed it around for selfies. Overheated and dehydrated, they left it in the mud to die after they were done. How do we educate people when common sense isn’t enough?
